Wedding Table Designs Part 05 - A rambling garden along your table

Early October, just catching the last flush of roses and the few dahlias that we left before I cut them back.
Japanese anemones were still flowering, these are one of my favourite autumn flowers, and the verbascum’s had a second wind popping up spikes of pink petticoat flowers.
All of these mixed with autumnal tinged leaves and tiny hop vines plucked from the hedgerow made for a lavish and abundant rambling miniature garden, perfect for running down the centre of your dinner tables or sitting on the edge of your top table.

This heady mixture of garden roses (Julia’s, Koko Loko, Margret M’s and some other dirty pink varieties) was created purely for me, I ate rainbow birthday cake and drank vintage Champagne with Christopher and my family around it. An early birthday treat before we headed to NYC to for my 30th.

I think I picked everything that was flowering, just incase it was all over when I came back, every single flower in this was grown here at Vervain.

I can hands down say this is one of my top five favourite things I have ever made.
