Flower Filled 2016

2016 definitely had its highs and lows, but right now looking back on all the flowers that were created I would say there were far more highs.

In 2016 we ran the first couple of flower courses on the farm, it was both incredibly fun and a learning curve. It also made me realise that I really enjoy teaching and the farm is the perfect location for it. So in 2017 there will be a LOT more courses happening, including some really exciting collaborations with some wonderfully talented people. WORKSHOP LINK

Above and below are a couple of polaroids Joanna Brown took when she came and snapped my first workshop in 2016.

2016 was full of so many beautiful weddings, weddings that challenged and pushed me (and CJF...) logistically and creatively. Thank you to all of the Brides and Grooms from 2016, you helped me achieve so much and get the most of a year of flowers, letting me loose to be as creative with flowers as I wanted. Thank you also to all the lovely freelancers who helped out along the way, I couldn't of done it without you.

I also made a LOT of flowers for myself in 2016, whenever there were leftovers or an abundance of blooms on the farm I would get lost in my studio making something purely for pleasure and a little for practise...
Below are some of the highlights of 2016, mainly behind the scenes and flowers for me, with a few wedding flowers in there and some images of flowers I created when freelancing for others over the course of 2016, which I hope to do more of in 2017.

Happy New Year.
Lets see what 2017 has to offer!

2017 - More flowers for me, more challenges, BIGGER flowers and maybe to become a little less camera shy. Oh and a Valentines Pop Up shop in Bristol...

A Most Curious Wedding Show 2016

Earlier in the year I created a few floral pieces for the Most Curious Wedding Show 2016 campaign shoot. Using as many British grown flowers from my patch, and from a fellow flower patch friend, as I could, I created a chaotic colourful vase arrangement, along with a more delicate pale pink arrangement and two bridal bouquets to match each. I also created a few long carnation garlands and a carnation wall hanging for the Most curious team to use, the long garlands were mixed in with some beautiful fabric hangings created by Oh Squirrel.
I will also be exhibiting at next year's show, so make sure you get your tickets and come say hi!

Below are a few of my behind the scenes pictures taken on set at the Most Curious shoot. Scroll down for more pictures of the set and behind the scenes.

Below are some images from behind the scenes taken by Cinzia Bruschini on the day, I really love some of these, especially the double exposure ones.
