Vibrant red and gold wedding in London

Jen and Scott had a very specific colour scheme for their summer wedding in London, every flower had to be shades of either red or gold.

Jen's bridal bouquet was filled with vibrant bold garden Roses, flaming red Zinnias and scarlet Dahlias, we added touches of gold with yellow and orange Marigolds and blowsy buttercup coloured garden Roses.

The delicate buttonholes were wrapped in tonal ombre silk ribbons, each buttonhole slightly different to the last and filled with unusual homegrown garden flowers.

Their wedding breakfast centrepieces were filled with bold red and gold flowers, dotted down their long dining tables, intermingled with single flower stems in tiny ceramic red pomegranates. At the end of the evening a few of Jen and Scott's lucky guests were able to take home a centrepiece, to treasure for a few more days.

A love of good foliage

Full of my favourite foliage, amelanchier and currant branches. Foliage is one of the hardest things to source, but it is one of the most important elements, without the right foliage an arrangement just doesn't look as good.
This spring vase is full of homegrown and locally sourced flowers, tulips and ranunculus in shades of pink, peach and white.

Previous experience working with flowers is a must as you will be asked to create pieces by yourself, formal training isn't necessary but a good grasp of colour, shape and styling is helpful. You may be asked to create vase arrangements, flower crowns and buttonholes so it is essential that you feel confident working with flowers.

Accommodation, travel and food expenses will be covered by Vervain.

Before the wedding we will arrange a meeting to discuss all aspects of the trip, we will share the designs and ideas of the day with you - giving you an insight into the full process of working on an event with Vervain.

Please email india@vervainflowers.com with your name, a bit about yourself (who you are, why you are interested, what your experience is and anything interesting about yourself!) your contact details, and a link or attachments of your floral work.

A Most Curious Wedding Show 2016

Earlier in the year I created a few floral pieces for the Most Curious Wedding Show 2016 campaign shoot. Using as many British grown flowers from my patch, and from a fellow flower patch friend, as I could, I created a chaotic colourful vase arrangement, along with a more delicate pale pink arrangement and two bridal bouquets to match each. I also created a few long carnation garlands and a carnation wall hanging for the Most curious team to use, the long garlands were mixed in with some beautiful fabric hangings created by Oh Squirrel.
I will also be exhibiting at next year's show, so make sure you get your tickets and come say hi!

Below are a few of my behind the scenes pictures taken on set at the Most Curious shoot. Scroll down for more pictures of the set and behind the scenes.

Below are some images from behind the scenes taken by Cinzia Bruschini on the day, I really love some of these, especially the double exposure ones.
