Martha and Ed, Osea Island, Essex

In early August Osea Island in the River Blackwater was the location for Martha and Ed's mid-summer wedding.
Martha carried a bouquet packed full of heady garden Roses, delicate Hydrangeas and evening scented Nicotiana. Their secret garden ceremony had an aisle lined with bunches of seasonal foliage tied to vintage chairs with silk. A very large statement urn stood at the entrance to the garden filled with large Cafe au Lait Dahlias and trailing mile a minute vines.

Their wedding breakfast tables were decorated with simple glass bottles and vessels with small arrangements and single stems. For the focal point in the room we created a large wild and sprawling installation piece. This piece bloomed out of the window as if growing through the cracks in the wall, using vines and seasonal foliage we created delicate intertwining gardens that covered the wall behind the top table.

Leonie and Raff, Private Residence, London

For this July wedding a foliage oasis was created in a glass marquee at the family home where slim foliage table garlands complimented the seasonal hanging foliage above. The ceremony took place outside in front of a gateway style arch that appeared to grow out of the ground. The couple stood above a flower bed which we planted with Ammi, grasses and Orlaya to create a wild meadow feel. We designed and made mini meadows and trailing pew ends to line the aisle. Raff carried an all foliage bouquet, while Leonie had a bouquet of garden Roses, Phlox and Poppies with pops of gold and red throughout.

Catherine and Thomas, Private Residence, Dorset

Catherine and Thomas were married at their family home, opting for an outdoor ceremony. We created meadow pieces to sit at the end of the aisle and below the delicate ceremony backdrop, the backdrop was created to frame the couple and the beautiful view of the Devon countryside through the old gateway. Catherine carried a bouquet filled with dirty pinks, cream and off-white blooms, with a mixture of homegrown and Japanese Roses and the most beautiful faded pink Holyhock. Wrapped in pale pink and cream silk, with some of the most exquisite August flowers, her bouquet was a favourite from last summer.

Jess and Rick, Huntsham Court, Devon

An elegant Autumnal wedding in the heart of Devon. Jess and Ricks' wedding was truly a celebration of all the colours and textures Autumnal flowers have to offer. With a predominantly burgundy and red colour palette with a few hints of gold and cream, Jess and her maids had bouquets of blowsy red Roses, Cafe au Lait Dahlias and antique Hydrangeas, intertwined with Cobaea vines and smoke bush with delicate Toad Lilies and chocolate Cosmos peeping through. The bridesmaids' bouquets, buttonholes and corsages were all wrapped in beautiful vivid blue silk ribbon while Jess had her bouquet wrapped in bundles of cream, slate and ivory silks to trail elegantly against her dress.

Ayla and Feti, Manor by the Lake, Cheltenham

An August wedding full of pastel shades and olive leaves. We dressed the outdoor ceremony under a pavilion with blooms, archways with intricate olive branches twisted through and bunches of citrus and olive as pew ends, this wedding was bursting with flowers.

Each table had a large bowl of lemons at the centre, surrounded by peach goblets full of flowers and table numbers made from olive leaves. The top table was covered in a lush garland dotted with blooms and lemons and further lush foliage garlands decorating the poles and mantle pieces within the space.

Ayla and her maids carried bouquets full of garden Roses in pale lemon and peach, with Dahlias and Snapdragons wrapped in peach and olive silk ribbons.

Katie and Chris, St Giles House, Dorset

St Giles House is one of those venues we dream of working in, so we felt lucky to not only work there but also to have a couple who were so happy to trust us completely in creating their flowers. This mid-October wedding was full of autumnal colour and texture, with homegrown Dahlias and garden Roses and a wonderful colour scheme of burgundy, pinks, cream and gold. Katie had a blowsy bouquet filled with tonal blooms and autumn texture such as Spindle Berry and Honesty seed heads.
St Giles has its own church just on the edge of the village where the couple said their vows, in there we decorated with trailing pew ends filled with seasonal foliage, along with clusters of pillar candles and leaves. To frame the couple at the end of the aisle we created two large urns filled with deep red blooms, hydrangeas and delicate cream coloured garden Roses.

For their wedding breakfast in the ornate library each table was decorated with a centrepiece surrounded by brass candlesticks, fallen autumnal leaves and seasonal fruits.

Annie and Jon, A private woodland, Staffordshire

Annie and Jon's wedding was set within their family's private woodland, a perfect setting for an early autumnal wedding. Their outdoor ceremony was held underneath a structure we built from branches, then covered in woodland ferns and foliage. Mounds of ferns were created as pew ends, lining the vintage carpeted aisle.

The colour palette of dark green, golden shades, reds and burgundy complimented with pale shades of pink and cream. Annie and her maids carried bouquets of autumn blooms wrapped in silk ribbons.

The table centres were in mixed copper and brass vessels, each arrangement was unique in size and style, making every table individual.

Jennifer and Scott, Clissold House, London

Jen and Scott had a very specific colour scheme for their summer wedding in London, every flower had to be shades of red and gold. From vivid bright red to Rose hips to deep burgundy Heuchera leaves and every hue of red in-between.
Jen's bridal bouquet was filled with vibrant bold garden Roses, flaming red Zinnias and scarlet Dahlias, we added touches of gold with yellow and orange Marigolds and blowsy buttercup coloured garden Roses. The delicate buttonholes were wrapped in tonal ombre silk ribbons, each buttonholes slightly different to the last and filled with unusual homegrown garden flowers.
Their wedding breakfast centrepieces too were filled with bold red and gold flowers, dotted down their long dinning tables, intermingled with single flower stems in tiny ceramic red pomegranates. At the end of the evening a few of Jen and Scott's lucky guest got to take home centrepieces, to treasure for a few more days.

Some words from Helaina the Bride from the feature on Love My Dress -

India of Vervain blew my mind – amazing flowers were really important to us. We knew exactly the style of florals we wanted and just couldn’t find this locally to the venue, so we went all out and invited India across the Channel with her 4 assistants and the result was phenomenal.
Vervain’s tagline ‘orchestrated chaos’ sums up her approach perfectly.
I just loved the wild, natural unruly structure of her pieces and the colours and textures she used were absolutely divine. India was definitely one of our ‘luxury items’ and we had so many compliments on how incredible the table centres looked and the huge fabulous urns in the church, which we later had moved to the marquee. I’ve also made a very dear friend and loved sharing almost every wedding detail with her in the lead-up.
She understood our vision completely and we trusted her every step of the way. She is just the sweetest person and a total floral design genius!”

Helaina and Dan, Chateau La Durantie, Dordogne, France

Rich tones and the most beautiful blooms in gold, caramel, peach and blush made the colour palette for this destination wedding in the Dordogne. The setting for this beautiful wedding was within the grounds of a grand French chateau, the perfect location for an opulent stylish wedding.

The bride and her maids carried bouquets of delicate summer foliage, garden Roses and Café au Lait Dahlias, each wrapped in pale shades of trailing bamboo silk.

Each table centre was arranged in a footed marble vase, complimenting the sequinned table runners and pastel coloured candles that adorned them. The bride Helaina had great attention to detail and planned everything down to the tiniest detail, but she gave us free rein with her flowers to create the most beautiful arrangements we could.
