Spend the day in the inspiring location of a unique curved Victorian glasshouse learning how to create large scale floral installation pieces, using early spring blooms and foliage to gain the skills and confidence to build pieces that express your wild floral style.
March 28th 2018, 11am - 4.30pm.
This class will be held at Wildegoose Nursery in Shropshire, and includes a full afternoon tea in their tearoom.
We will spend the day creating installation pieces within the setting of a unique curved Victorian glasshouse in a beautiful walled garden in the heart of Shropshire.
In groups of 2 you will work together to create a truly unique installation piece, using early spring as your inspiration and the fully restored Victorian glasshouse as your backdrop. You will have full freedom to let your artistic style run wild, using early spring blossom and flowering bulbs. India will be on hand to help create the mechanics of your pieces and advise on shape and texture as you create your wild free form floral installations.
We will break at 1 pm for a full afternoon tea in the tearoom within the walled garden, this will give you a chance to step back and assess what you have created so far and re-energise for the afternoon.
Once your piece is finished there will be time for you to take photographs of your work, again India will be on hand to advise and curate your images to help you capture the best aspects of your pieces.
Katrina Bartlam of Captured by Katrina will be on hand to take some lovely shots of your finished flowers.
