Wild Floral
Vervain is a floral design studio based in South West England, established in 2014 by India and her partner Christopher. The studio creates bespoke flower designs for weddings and events, floral styling, and set designs for retail brands and film sets, all of which celebrate the natural fleeting beauty of flowers.
Vervain has created work for all types of clients, from couples to established brands in every corner of the UK and abroad, and is known for its wild and natural floristry style.
Natural & Wild Floral Design
At Vervain, we create floral designs that express our connection with the natural world, drawing inspiration from natural forms and reflecting the changing seasons throughout the year.
Our style has remained consistent from the start and can best be described as 'Orchestrated Chaos', where arrangements are beautifully wild yet maintain a sense of coherence.
Each arrangement is filled with unusual and organic forms, giving our work a distinct individuality and uniqueness. We grow a percentage of our flowers, providing us with a wide choice of flowers to work with and many beautiful flowers that are not easy to find elsewhere. This enables us to convey our natural and wild floral design aesthetic.
Colour plays a pivotal role in our work, and we constantly experiment with new colour palettes and combinations. This allows us to continually offer our clients fresh and innovative flower arrangements and installations.

Sustainable Wedding & Event Flowers
Growing our flowers and sourcing locally from other independent growers enables us to limit our impact on the environment by reducing the amount of imported flowers we use, in turn reducing the need for long-distance transport, using flowers with high chemical inputs and flowers grown in glasshouses with high energy demands.
From the beginning, we have only used natural peat-free growing mediums to grow all our seeds and plants, harvesting rainwater for watering and never using pesticides or artificial fertilisers. We utilise no-dig practices in our growing beds, and all the green waste from an event is composted for future growing cycles. Many of our flowers also positively affect the environment by being a source of pollinators.
When arranging our beautiful designs, we stay true to our sustainability principles. All our flowers are arranged in water-filled vessels using chicken wire or flower frogs, entirely avoiding the use of floral foam.
British Grown Flowers
Growing our flowers for our work has continuously inspired our creative process. Our connection with growing ensures that our designs reflect the changing seasons throughout the year, making our work truly seasonal and bespoke.
As a part of our growing, we have an ever-increasing collection of bearded Irises (Iris Germanica) that we use for our work. We also offer to sell through Falls & Standards, a space dedicated to the bearded iris.
